Soil and last year seed help.

So last year I added smallish planters along the balustrade on my decking.

Didn’t realise that some of my plants then let of a ton of seeds.

Will they all re grow in the planters this year. Or will the frost have killed all the little seeds off?
I can re change the soil if needed. But didn’t fancy twenty odd plants cropping up.

They are petunia seeds that were left there.

It depends entirely on what the plants were. Can you remember or do you have any photos?

if the seedlings germinate you can always pull out the ones you don’t want.

in a small planting space it’s best to use fresh potting compost every year as last years plants will have used up all the nutrients.

If they grow you have loads of free petunia plants and no need to buy any this year. What’s not to like?! If you don’t want them just pull them up.
