The planters are the tall, narrow trough ones from Primrose (dimensions as pictured). They hold a lot of soil and so are quite good for larger plants (I've added more drainage holes than the standard). They currently have cherry laurel insitu which have been in for around 5yrs but they aren't very happy, a bit scrappy and a few brown leaves. I'm planning to transplant them into the ground to recover and reuse the planters with fresh compost, but I'm unsure what to put in.
Whatever goes in needs to be,
- Happy in a container
- Happy West facing (can get hot in summer)
- Ideally evergreen/semi evergreen (is positioned for zoning/screening)
- Easily managed at 4ish ft tall (not inc planter!)
