Efficient way to plant mixed bulbs in short bursts. Can I scatter the and leave out overnight?

I have three flowerbeds with roses
and perennials that I want to underplant with bulbs (crocuses, daffodils, tulips, alliums and anemones) in a sort of bulb meadow effect. Randomish but some swathes. I have lots of different bulbs and I’d rather not put them all into a bag and do it totally randomly as I’d like areas to get a mix of shades and flowering time.

My issue is I only have short windows for planting, 20 minutes here and there. If I scatter/place all the bulbs can they be left out in place for a few days or will they rot/get eaten? Rain and sun are forecast. Lots of cats, crows and pigeons visit the garden but no rabbits or squirrels.

Squirrels will get them in my experience. They’ll dig them up too even once planted so my advice is to cover them over with something light if you can

I read the whole thing thinking squirrels would have them but then got to the the end and you'd covered that.
I'd be worried that they'd rot.

In principle I think this would be OK, but I find that if I put out more than a dozen or so at once I can never find all of them and some get missed. Same if I break for a cup of tea. I would get some cheap plant labels to act as place markers (you could even use something like cotton buds) and have one session scattering, marking and picking up all the bulbs. Then you can do as many as you choose whenever suits you.

I’ve never seen a squirrel around, pigeons are my concern but I’m not sure if they like the bulbs or only shoots.

Would they rot in 2-3 days?

That is probably the best strategy @MontyDonsBlueScarf though it feels like a lot of effort for three beds
