Autumn sown sweet peas - winter care?

For the first time I have Autumn sown my sweetpeas. They are growing well - if a bit leggy.

I'm planning to put them in a cold frame over winter but what care do they need?

Do they still need regular watering and pinching out etc? How often might they need watering or can I just leave them there until Spring?

They shouldn’t dry out completely but they won’t need watering very often. Yes, they need pinching out, but it’s not terminal if you don’t

They always look leggy about now.

Pinch them out when they are about 10-15cm tall. They bush out - but IME they wait until the spring to do that.

Over winter they need to just not be allowed to dry out. And to be kept safe from any marauding mice until the growing tips toughen up a bit too much to be eaten.

Thanks both. I'll put them in the cold frame this weekend.
