I'd say white deadnettle. Lamium family iirc. It a wild flower that is nice in the garden too, doesn't mind a bit of shade, good for bees

White deadnettle, Lamium album. In the Lamiaceae family, along with thyme, rosemary, marjoram, mint etc. Different family entirely from stinging nettles

Deadnettles confuse me. I pulled this one up while clearing some actual nettles. Shame, because I had noticed that the bees loved it in the summer. Never mind, plenty more come up every year in my garden!

Spend more time looking at them - the leaves are different, slightly bluer green, slightly softer look. If you compare them enough, you’ll start to see the difference.

Another couple of confusing pairs when you’re weeding and just wanting to get on with the job - creeping buttercup and some of the hardy geraniums, and dog violet and enchanter’s nightshade.

IIRC, white and red dead nettle have squarish stems, so you can identify them that way as well.

Red dead nettle looks entirely different, much smaller plant, rounder leaves, so need to resort to looking at the stem. The red flowered nettle-leaved plant is hedge woundwort, Stachys sylvatica.
