what veg can i grow now?

now that my courgettes are finished and tiniest potatoes and Playmobil sized carrots eaten, what vintner veg can i grow in my beet small bed?

@PPPPlease ’s link more or less covers it, but a lot of the things are being sown for harvest in the spring rather than winter. Next year, look at things in the cabbage family, and Swiss chard, which can be sown a bit earlier for crops over the winter

@practicepracticepractice : where in the country are you/how exposed is your bed?

I would be putting in spinach as I can get through loads, also pak Choi & kale if you like them (to have over the winter): I will be sowing (more of) all 3 tomorrow

I'm in NW London. The veg area is in the shade and not very much exposed.

This is what I have (NW London too/shade) & it was excellent for spinach, lettuce & kale over the summer (lettuce grows too fast in sun in summer/bolts)

1st year for me: so far spinach is the winner

I have Kale (5 types), Kalettes, pan and four types of cauliflower in. You will need insect netting to protect them from the cabbage white butterfly larva who will eat them.
