They are delicious, but I have far more than I could ever eat in salads.

I love to roast up a big tray with garlic and herbs and a couple of blocks of feta, once it's all roasted, mix it all up with a ladle of pasta water to make the most amazing pasta sauce, then dump in a load of pasta :)

I am just jealous. My seedlings were all eaten and the few plants I got later aren't doing well. My first big tomato has been half gnawed by a critter and the others just seem sad and stunted.

Share them on the Olio app

Roast with olive oil, garlic and feta. Remove garlic cloves/ squeeze out yummy roasted garlic back into dish. Blitz to make a tasty pasta sauce.

We have many cherry tomato plants. We just had the feta pasta recipe above, it is delicious.

We also oven dry them and jar them in oil.

If they are really nice I'd make Passata and freeze. You will get to use them in curries, anything really

Tomato and basil soup 😋

Here are my finished oven-dried tomatoes in olive oil. Some of the smaller ones are slightly chewy but the flavour is immense

Wow @AlisonDonut, you're making my 2kg haul look tiny! Will have to give it a few days for some more to ripen, so many things to try!

You can moonblush them, they're sweeter than sun blush ones

Beetle76 · 22/08/2022 22:01

This uses a lot of cherry tomatoes for just one meal, particularly if you have a big pan:

I'm a bit of a tomatoholic.

I've got loads of plum tomatoes ripe on the vines so I'm doing a half batch of ketchup this week.
