Bluebells what is happening here?

I planted some English Bluebell bulbs in autumn & they flowered well this spring. I waited until there were seeds and then shook the dead flowers when removing them to help them disperse so I can’t guarantee this is bluebell but I don’t recall anything else being planted in the area. The bulbs were planted deep enough and this wasn’t visible when I pulled the dead flowers off, I have just noticed this, it is the only one I can see, I can’t see any others where other bluebells were.

It is possible the soil has been moved so could explain why it is now visible (cat, hedgehog, general drying out + wind?) but is this from the bluebell? Do I cover it up? Leave it? There are lobes coming off it that easily come away, do I leave them? Pot them? Bury them?
TIA

I dont think it's a bluebell - they have small bulbs.

But I have absolutely no idea what it is... hoping someone else will come along soon!

Not sure why you think bluebell have small bulbs.

But you’re right it’s not a bluebell. Bluebells have solid bulbs, not one made ip of overlapping plates like this one. This is a lily bulb of some sort. OP you’ll need to grow it, to find out what it is!

Sorry black that was a bit snippy. Yes, bluebells don’t get as wide as this, their bulbs are more elongated. But when I think of small bulbs I’m thinking of something like Crocus (which I know are corms)

I planted the bluebell bulbs, they were a fair size and definitely white. I don’t have any lilies planted as I have a cat & know how poisonous they are. I just can’t fathom where it’s come from or what it is, I just wondered if bluebells did something odd after flowering but I should have know better. I have spent 2 years digging up Spanish bluebells, and the endless tiny little baby bulbs I keep finding, from the front garden!

I guess I will just have to see what develops!

Not bluebells. Spanish or English. The bulbs sit very deep. Baby ones are tiny. Grown up ones are small daff bulb sized.

I spend my life digging the little bastards up and we stay still. They are wonderful in woodland glades. They are not wonderful in my flower beds.

Cut the flowering stems.as soon as the flowers brown.

They are more prolific than a lothario without a condom.
