Whatever you do, don’t give them any plant food

Rainwater only!

You can also use reverse osmosis water which some aquatics shops sell and water from dehumidifier if u have one.

I feed them any flys that I catch that come into the house.

I have a pitcher plant outside for many years now and a monkey cups hanging in the kitchen window.

Yes I've got them in monkey cups. Do you keep them in the same size or re plant them into bigger ones

Yeah. They’re used to living in low nutrient conditions which is why they’ve evolved to catch their own food.

Op, the carnivorous plant I have in the kitchen is called monkey cups, aka nepenthes ventricular, that's what I meant. It's in a teracotta colour hanging basket thing which you can't really see cos the plant has grown to cover it.

They like high humidity so mine is above the kitchen sink, hanging from the "neck" of an anglepoise lamp.

My other pitcher plant is outside as it is hardy, in a trough filled with gravel.

I'd love to create a bog garden with more carnivorous plants, but my tiny garden is already crammed full of other plants.

They're very interesting!
