Can anyone identify this plant?

Can anyone identify this plant? It's come out of nowhere and is really invasive. I'd like to know what it is, maybe if I learn more about it I can fight it better.

Could it be a type of plantain weed? Very common but usually easy to dig out

I was thinking plantain too. Glyphosate would sort it out, though not everyone likes to use that. If you do, avoid spraying anything else with it or it'll kill that as well. Digging is the more environmentally sensitive alternative, but you may need to persevere if you don't get all the roots out first go.

I think it is a type of grass, especially as the base of each leaf is hugging the stem.

Do you have a bird feeder? if it’s a grass it may be from fallen seeds, as I have something similar under by bird feeder.

The second picture looks a lot like buffalo grass - I don’t know whether buffalo usually grows in the UK?

Not a plantain, plantain leaves don’t wrap round the stem. That’s assuming you mean UK wild flowers of the genus Plantago. If you mean the culinary Plantain, that’s a banana and even less likely

A grass is a possibility - second picture seems to show leaf being made up of sheath and separate blade

It did start near the bird feeder. I dig it out but it grows so quickly! If I don't have time one week it multiplies by 5 at least!

It's not native no, and it doesn't look inviting enough for anyone to have cultivated it.
