Hi,

A couple of months ago I received lots of Dahlia tubers. Unfortunately I was very unwell for a while and they are still in their packaging. They look ok.
What should I do with them now though? I'm stumped as to whether it's way too late to pot up or if I should store them somehow.
Could anyone advise me please? Ty.

I am NO expert, but I'd definitely plant in pots ASAP. They flower until the frosts so you'll probably get something from them. Maybe cosset them a bit at first.

Hope you're feeling much better now.

defo plant them up, plenty of drainage.

As above, plant them in pots asap and you might be okay as they tend to flower until first frost. They usually take between 90 and 120 days to flower. Plant horizontally in the soil, with any sprouts or visible eyes facing up if you can, 4-6in below the soil line. They're resilient things so you should be fine! Hope you're feeling better now Flowers

If you don't they will definitely die so that is your only option really.

They'll be fine. I've got mine soaking ready to plant out this morning. Was hoping to get them out at the end of May but life and the weather not being great got in the way.

If they've already sprouted, you can even cut off some of the sprouts and plant them separately, so you'll have bonus plants.

Me too, got them cheap at Wilko, took a chance on potting them late and they are sprouting!
