Do I let it ‘apple’ this year?

We have a three or four year old apple tree. It’s growing very slowly. Up till now I’ve removed all apples so it can concentrate on growing. But do I still do that this year? It’s about 6.5 feet tall. It has a lot of baby apples!

Mine's in year 3 post planting and I'm definitely leaving the apples this year. It's not as tall as OPs but it's on dwarf root stock so will be slow growing. I've pruned it quite heavily each year to help it grow into a neat open shape so hopefully this is the beginning of it bringing forth fruit at last.

I’d leave them. It’s advised to-thin them out, so you don’t overstress the tree and move it into a pattern of biennial bearing. But don’t over-thin as the “june drop” will get rid of some too.
