What's happened to my marguerite?

I bought a nice perky looking marguerite about a month ago, planted it in my raised bed, lovingly tended it with Tomorite... and now it looks like this.

Nothing I do perks it up. It has been all droopy for ages.

What might have happened? My dad suggested it might have been got by frost - we live in London and I wasn't aware of us having a frost, but it's possible.

Do I dig it up and get another one or can I revive it?

Is it thirsty? Probably not if you've been feeding it but it's been so dry for so many weeks I can't believe how many established plants have been drooping in our garden.,

I don't think so. I've watered it so much, I did wonder if it was over watered! But will give it a good water tomorrow in case.

If you’ve been watering it a lot, and feeding it, it’s more likely to be overwatered than too dry. Stick your finger into the compost - it should feel nicely damp or even on the dry side, not too wet or claggy. Can the pot drain?

It shouldn’t need tomorite for quite a few weeks after planting. I’d hold off for a few more weeks, although it’s not the be-all (you’re diluting that and using it as per instructions? Not too often or too strong?)

And they are warmth loving plants - mine are still tucked up in the greenhouse, so even a few chilly nights might have upset it. It should be OK now things warm up though.

Thanks @LadyGardenersQuestionTime that is all vv helpful. I shall tend it even more carefully and hope it revived in the warm weather.

Make sure you dead head flowers as they go over, that way the plant is stimulated to produce more buds and flowers. Pinch off the old flowers as low as you can to the new growing points.

Stop feeding it, fertiliser will do it more harm than good. Just plain water will be fine.

It could also be the chilly nights, lovely blue cloudless sky days are often followed by cold nights, at this time of year. I’d give it some night time protection, a fleece or just a cardboard box popped over it if the forecast is for low temperatures.

Thanks everyone. I will do all the suggestions and see if that helps. Thank you
