We have a 6 ft beech hedge as our boundary and I love it i
for the wildlife and level of privacy, but it’s still depressingly brown until early May. I’ve decided to grow something through it that will provide green within the hedge earlier in the year - we have a honeysuckle growing in another beech hedge and it’s really helped to bridge the gap. I could obviously go for honey suckle again but I was thinking about a rambling rose or clematis. It needs to be something that will tolerate the annual hedge cutters as we keep the hedge to a fairly compact size. Any ideas? Or should I stick with honeysuckle?
