I had a section of knackered olf hedge removed last autumn and in one corner of the garden, previously neglected, the area (approx 4' square) is now completely covered with old man's beard.
What's the best stuff to use to kill it off, please? I'm assuming that it's so virulent, just strimming it to the ground won't work. I'm wondering if SBK or something equally brutal might see it off.
It's a longstanding problem, I'm always pulling it out of the hedge along the side boundary, and the year before last it got totally out of control, romped along my back fence, my other neighbour's back fence, and smothered a shed next door but one.
All advice gratefully received, as ever!
