Plastic greenhouses

I have two plastic greenhouses. One is currently inside housing seed babies and dahlias. It's on my bedroom which a) annoys DP and b) it's not the sunniest of rooms so I would really like to get it outside.

Does anyone have any tips on how to make sure it doesn't blow away, how to stop slugs getting in and also when is it safe to put your plants in there in terms of temperature outside please?

My second one is for when my tomato and cucumbers are ready for outside. I think I have big dreams here but never mind

Put some hooks into the brickwork outside and tie it to them.

I also put some bricks in the bottom of it to steady it.

To keep slugs out put a trails of grit/ash/rough pebbles around the bottom of it on the outside.

I would say that you can put plants out once the frosts have gone but seedlings need to be established before that. You should find advice on the seed packets.

I got one last year , about 6' tall the plastic cover has zips either side to open and the door flap can be rolled up
Its secured to the fence (our fence ) and there's a shrub on one side so it's secure . It;s on the patio so paved slab
It gets quit warm inside , last week it was surprisingly tropical .

I plant seeds in empty plastic lidded containers (like you get mini muffins in).

I was woried about slugs getting in and gorging on my plants but they were ok last year even with all the rain.

I have a 6ft one that I just put a 50cm paving slave on the bottom shelf. It was cheap enough from B&Q and has kept the thing rock solid all though the storms at the end of last year and beginning of this. I don't think it needs anything else tbh

Never had any slug trouble in it. Though the mice did get in to nibble my first round of sweet pea seedlings last year!

Oh and mine is where I put seedlings when there is a frost due. It's just been used to protect young penstemon, cosmos and zinnia during the last few nights of frost. All came out this morning looking good.

Would covering the ground inside with potting grit keep the slugs out or do they come up the outside and then in?

I got one last year (same style as @70isaLimitNotaTarget describes) and it blew over with just bricks, so it gets a bag of compost or similar sitting in the bottom of it. I haven't built it this year yet because it's been so bloody cold, even in London! I might put it up this weekend though as my seedlings are starting to take over - both kitchen and utility room windowsills are looking a bit full.
