Self seeded seedlings

Last year I planted some honesty and foxgloves in my flowerbed. They did great, i had a lovely display etc and hoped they would self seed so I'd get a few more this year. Well, the flowered is now a carpet of honesty and foxglove seedlings! What can I do to ensure some survive, leave it to nature (survival of the fittest etc) or do some thinning out etc? Total beginner here, any tips welcome!

I'd suggest thinning out. Also a good wheeze to put them into pots, so you can get it clear, then put the plants where you want, or give them away.

My Dad does a church plant sale every May, and foxgloves are always first out the door.

I thin out and put some in pots to grow on to put elsewhere or to give away. We've got a local facebook page for plants swaps and sells and I'll often put something on the page and leave it on the end of the drive for pick up.

A neighbour does a sale every summer of plants she's potted up for charity.
