Hydrangea advice please

I have a hydrangea. It was blue.
It has not flowered for the last two years, but was otherwise very green, leafy and healthy looking.

Last year I think I pruned it right back in autumn. There was then some new leaf growth which was then damaged by frost, but after those died off it carried on growing well.

This year I have left it entirely. What should I do now?
Do I need to prune it right back?
Do I need to protect it from frost (I have some garden fleece stuff).
Do I need to feed it now? It's in ericaceous soil (bought) in a large container.

I am not a gardener, I have lots of pots with bulbs and then summer flowers which I enjoy, but I don't really know anything technical.

Any advice would be welcome.

You'll find cheaper plant pots in B&M, garden centres are very expensive.

It's coming on , then.

Honestly I neglect & abuse mine & they come thru fine every year. Hilarious as I used to loathe the flowers but i have mellowed, not least considering what huge numbers we get of them. Don't have them in too small pots, though. They are fed mostly on dead vole carcasses (cats bring home).

That's more like it. It will sort itself out now.

Looks healthy to me

You will need an Ericaceous feed for it

I'm so proud. It's like my 3rd child. Can't wait to see what colour the flowers are. It was blue when I bought it.

Here's my girl. It doesn't have as many blooms as many you see, but considering it had NONE for the last 2 years, I'm really happy.
It wasn't acidic enough to retain the blue.
