Gardeners - how do you over winter your perlagoniums?

I've got lots this year in individual terracotta pots and would like to keep them for next year if possible.

At the moment they are all still full of leaf but the weather is getting colder. I'm in London though so as long as they don't get frosted it should be possible.

I have one of those small green houses with a plastic cover on my terrace. So I'll put them in there. Do I trim them back? Do I water them over winter?

Thanks in advance.

Keep them no more than just moist, and let them dry out a bit before watering. Pelargoniums are drought tolerant and rotting off is the greater danger

It’s a good time to cut them back so there are no straggling branches. You can use the offcuts to take cuttings, insurance if nothing else. Jan/Feb will be the danger time for frost. If you’ve cut them back, perhaps you could bring in ne of each variety on to a windowsill in a cool room? Then if you lost them, you could quickly bulk up with cuttings from your insurance plant
