Pumpkin advice

Hello all,

I have a couple pumpkins that I've grown and the plant itself has entirely died but the pumpkins are half ripe. They've not ripened any more than the stage they're at for weeks now. Is it because the plant is dead? It's leaves all died from mildew and then the stem turned brown and dry. I don't mind too much as it gave me my pumpkins but just wondering whether to bring them in and hope they finish ripening inside or to just wait it out outside.

Thank you in advance 🎃

Bring them in. No point leaving them on a dead plant, and the indoor warmth may kick start the ripening process

Thanks @MereDintofPandiculation. I've just brought them in Smile

Yes they can be brought indoors to continue ripening and should last through the winter. Just keep an eye on them going mouldy. Or they can be roasted and frozen in chunks.

Thanks @squashyhat. I've never grown or cooked Blush pumpkins before so have no idea how long they'd keep etc. Thanks for the info. My fear was them coming in and going mouldy.
