Can anyone id this plant?

Am hoping someone can id this plant for me, would love to attempt growing this in water like the photo.

I've tried google searching the image - it's attached to lots of articles about growing plants in water but none that id this particular plant.

Also tried my plant id app but it just suggests trailing plants which I don't think is right.

Hoping the power of mumsnet can shed more light. Thanks!!

They look like tree saplings, the larger one possibly an ash, the smaller one looks like a horse chestnut.

Tree saplings, nothing trailing there...

Yes I agree looks like horse Chestnut at the back and maybe rowan at the front. I have a vase to put an acorn in and grow a sapling like this to start it off. You can collect tree seeds in the Autumn and try it. You couldn't keep them in the water for too long, until roots fill the vase or growth slows down, but they look good in the meantime and it can be a quick way to start them off before you pot them on. You do need to balance the seed on the top so the seed is out of the water but touching it so the seed doesn't rot but the roots develop.

Not Rowan. Leaflets too broad

Oh thanks everybody, that makes sense, they look beautiful but I was hoping for something I could keep in the vase.

Would be great to let the kids start a tree off in water so maybe one to do with them.

Thanks!!! Thanks
