Can I use the seeds in the pods next year ?

Yes, but they won't come up the same as this year's flowers if they're F1 hybrids

The normal advice is to rigorously deadhead sweet peas to prolong their flowering so I don't think I've ever had any seeds mature. It may be a false economy to save a couple of quid next year at the expense of this year's blooms.

I do it at the end of the season when you only get a few flowers

I wasn’t trying to save money, just thought it would be nice to stop them going to waste.
