Animal friendly weed killer

As the title says, can anyone recommend an animal friendly weed killer please? I've got a dog and 4 cats and some foxes and badgers in my garden, so I obviously don't want to hurt them, but the nettles and weeds are getting out of hand! I keep cutting them back but they grow again fairly quickly.

Pull them out by the root x

Afaik the ones which can be used if you have pets need care eg keep your pet out of the garden until it's dried or there's been rain. So they probably aren't wildlife-safe, though I suppose if your visitors are nocturnal using them in the morning on a day with cooperative weather might help. I'm not sure there are any which are safe for bees.

You need a weed burner patientgardener.co.uk/the-best-weed-burners/

Thank for the replies. I'll just have to get my gloves on and get pulling at them!

Some of the tools for digging out weeds are useful. Hoeing is good for the smaller annual weeds which grow from seed.

There's any number of pet safe weed killers on amazon.

Vinegar. Hot water.

I clean my kitchen bin out with vinegar and boiling water, slosh it about to clean the bin and then pour it over whichever weed I don't want.

Thanks again for the suggestions. I will try the hot water and vinegar.

I mostly physically remove or mulch/cover to get rid of weeds, but I will also use a natural fatty acid weed killer spray judiciously directly on certain stubborn weeds especially in patio cracks that make it difficult to dig them out, and just make sure my cats are in for a few hours afterwards so there’s no chance they actually lick the fresh spray on the plant. They’re very low toxicity but could be directly irritant to skin/mouth if they lick it. They work very quickly however to shrivel the plant up and have a smell that repels cats anyway.

Fatty acid sprays are often labelled “glyphosate free” or “natural”, just look on the back of the spray for the actual ingredients.
