Can I put Daisy & forget me not seeds in a planter?

I've been given some Daisy seeds and forget me not seeds and I'd like to put them in a pot together rather than scatter them. Will they still grow? Any tips at all? When could I expect to see some growth?

Forget me nots self seed in my planters, so they should be fine. I can’t see a problem with daisies either.

Do they need to be in the sun or shade? And how long before they grow etc?

Forget me nots self-seed all over my garden, sun and shade.

You won’t see anything of the forget me nots now until next year.

What kind of size planter should I look for? They are only tiny packets of each as a memorial gift but I want to make sure I get it right

You can start the forget me nots now in little pots as they wont flower til next spring. Ive sown loads in a seed tray and I'll prick them out later and grow them on somewhere til next year. You could grow them in a little pot then put into any sized planter that you have. However, one forget-me-not seed can grow quite a wide plant by next spring, maybe up to 12", so you wont need loads. They are pretty tough but keep them out of full sun until they have grown to a decent size as the pot may dry out. Both love full sun when they are flowering.
With the daisies, it really depends what they are, they may need sowing next spring. The seed packet should say.
You need to get going now with the forget-me-nots though as they are biennials, wont flower til next year.
