One of the goosefoots (Chenopodium) I think. Have a look at the Chenopodium album leaf half way down this page.

Some chenopodiums are UK wild flowers, some are grown as vegetables eg "Aztec broccoli". Some, eg Good King Henry, are both wild flower and cultivated as veg.

Thank you. Yes it does look like that. A weed then really? It's a bit odd. They are in indoor seed trays . I used seed compost. I wonder how on earth they got there.

A weed then really? A weed doesn't have any clear definition apart from being a plant growing where you don't want it to grow.

Chenopodium album was introduced to the US as a vegetable, and is used for food elsewhere - see, for example
