Flowering evergreen or similar for front garden containers

I need two decent sized plants to go in 30cm square containers that are at the edge of my lawn. I'd like something that will provide year round interest and will cope with.being exposed and not grow too big.

Camellia?
I've just potted my two up into 32cm pots, leaves are a bit yellowed as they've been neglected so am hoping the new ericaceous compost will help.

I have those containers! I love camellias but I'm worried they will grow too big. The pots are at the edge of my lawn to prevent people parking on it Angry so I don't want anything that will grow too much and then be over the road and people will complain about them. I've had enough trouble from neighbours about having things on my own
Lawn as it is Hmm

Hmm, I see what you mean. TBH I hesitated about posting it as I'm also a but concerned the pots won't be big enough for the plants, but they've been in slightly smaller round pots for a while and are growing okay (albeit with yellow leaves).
What about Hebes (not a massive fan myself), Spirea Japonica, bay tree, Cistus.

Daphne retusa? Scented flowers in spring, evergreen, and only gets to about 1 x 1 m.

How about a dwarf Berberis, they have colour all year, are tough and can be clipped if getting too big.
I had one at the end of a drive that was very slow growing.
