Where is the rain?

Does anybody know what weather phenomenon is keeping things so dry?
There is no rain forecast, the farmers must be frantic!

I was thinking this, our water butts are empty already 😢 the garden is desperate for water.

Well it was sure a hell up here in Yorkshire yesterday.

Watering already here too, over seeded last week. Was hopeful of a shower last night but it was very light.

We had rain last night. I went outside late, and the patio was teeming with slugs.

Yes the cold and dry has been bad for slugs at least. I'm trying out those wool pellets this year so hopefully they'll stand up to the onslaught!

Water butts are full. Don't need more rain for a week now. Though overnight rain is permissible.

We've barely had a sprinkling here in the SE. I was hoping for a real burst, to drench the garden. I wonder if its missed us completely!

I’m in the south and desperately hoping for some rain. We had rain forecast for this afternoon, but not so much as a drop, and it’s disappeared from the forecast now.

I have an arthritic, elderly pony who is struggling with the hard ground, so I’m desperate for some rain to soften it up a bit

Plus, we have no grass - will have to put hay out if it doesn’t change soon. We are already having huge issues with a hay shortage here, so it’s going to be even worse next winter if we don’t get some good grass going.
