House plants getting too big!

Can anyone tell me how best to keep my house plants from getting out of control? I have a Yukka in a 40cm pot which now has roots coming through the bottom and also a dragon plant and a money plant (?) that are outgrowing their pots and the space I have for them. I read that you can prune the roots, but am scared of damaging the plants. I could repot the yukka, but am struggling to find a nice indoor plant pot that is large enough- any recommendations of where to buy one would be appreciated. Many thanks.

Not much advice , be absolutely sure yucca needs repotting as they can normally rest ok in same pot for couple of years . Homeware stores like B&Q for drainage pots , IKEA has some nice pots but I'd expect them to be super busy at the moment

H and M Home do nice bigger indoor pots. I second Ikea too. Most big pots can be £££. You could use a large wicker/sea grass basket with a liner or solid plastic pot inside (one of those big garden buckets or similar).

Other options are -
Move to a bigger house
Give your plants to me

Be very very careful.... I repotted my Monstera recently and gave it transplant shock!
It’s a dreadful thing to see... even the new leaves are coming through deformed.
Previously it was a beautiful, green, glossy leaves thing. Now I’m not sure if it can be saved.

I've had to re pot a couple in to pots too big for the usual ceramic ones and have gone for baskets. I had to order on line but amazon have loads. I think I just searched 'plant basket'

I also bought a pack of clear plastic plant saucers which are in different sizes to keep the bottom dry

Apparently spider plants can have their roots trimmed back.
I haven't been brave enough to try this.

Thanks everyone! Some great tips. I think I'll give a basket a try for one of them.

So sorry to hear this. I overwatered and killed part of my yukka a few years ago- so upsetting isn't it. Hope it gets better.
