Pulsatilla vulgaris aka the Pasqueflower , they are lovely!

I'm no horticulturist, but they look like a variety of campanula (bellflower).

NanTheWiser · 16/04/2021 14:21

Definitely NOT Campanula eddiemairswife! It’s a Pulsatilla.

Mamanchien · 16/04/2021 15:20

Thanks Nan and Eddie for your replies Smile
Yep, it definitely is a Pulsatilla. Is it possible to save seeds from it in order to grow more plants?

@Mamanchien, yes, if it sets seeds. These will be plump, not flat, and have a feathery tail. You can remove the tail, and sow in a seed compost mix, they don’t need heat, and are best sown fresh.

@NanTheWiser thank you Smile

How do yours look so good @Mamanchien? Mine all seem to get eaten (I’m presuming by slugs/snails but maybe I’m wrong).

Mamanchien · 17/04/2021 18:58

I don’t know @Thefirsttime - I haven’t done anything to help them along. I’m still getting to know the front garden of the house we bought a couple of years ago and don’t remember seeing them before Blush For the moment the focus has been on the back. It’s a massive learning curve. I’m also not in the UK but NE France.
