Large pack of wildflower seeds last year, reduced in b&q scattered over a bare patch I’d had to dig over but had no real imminent plans for.

Beautiful border right through to the first frosts for I think £6.99.

The single best thing I've got in my garden is my hoe. I use it all the time. A quick hoe round once a fortnight, and you'll never have any weeds (apart from in the lawn)!!

Two beautiful wrought metal double basket stands 5ft high.
Reduced from £89 to £ 10! I couldn’t pay for them fast enough.

A lovely delicate acer. The leaves are so pretty and it always makes me smile. I think it was £5 from Morrisons.

4 years ago I had a garden makeover. I bought lots of cheap plants from Wilco, just to fill some gaps temporarily. They are still going strong and are really good quality.

I have just bought a grumpy gardener Cultimate Weeder. Not particularly cheap at £13 plus postage but when you compare it with the £££ I have spent on othe weeders, trowels, forks and other hand tools it is a bargain as it does the job of them all much better than the individual tools.

A large collapsible fabric waste bag from Lidl. It coast £3 last summer and is such good quality. It holds loads and if I'm not using it, it folds up nice and flat and fits in my little shed. I love it!

A foam pad for kneeling on - 50 p on sale last summer from the pound shop! Really saves my knees!

A twisting cultivator tool for £9.99. It's probably saved me several times that in chiropractor charges.

It's great for aerating and loosening the compost while it's in the compost bin, among other things.

I bought a very fine rose for the watering can - so the seeds don't wash away. I've had a better germination rate since then.

I was going to say - lovely red leaved Acer - reduced to £1.99 in Morrisons.

Also - Chiltern seeds "Mixed Acers" - still have about half a dozen of those including 3 different snakebarks (one of them now about 8m tall with a 15cm dia trunk) and a paperbark.

A growhouse for seedlings.
I have my windowsills, tables and other random places free of seed trays. Not only is there more light, my family are relieved about not having to be so careful.
On the other hand...I now have more space for extra seed trays. 😉

The collection of gnomes, windmills and other ornaments. I've yet to kill one and they don't get eaten by birds or invertebrates. (We didn't get a single strawberry last year... The birds got loads!)

Bird feeders.
