plant supports

This is the year I invest in some plant supports as we have peonies and dahlias (fingers crossed) as well as random perennials fall over year in and year out. They seem so expensive (I'd rather spent the money on plants!) but all the staking and tying I do is for naught.

Any recommendations on somewhere that is good quality and a decent price? Or any other tips?

I have bought plant supports in Wilko quite cheaply and have been using them for several years so for quite cheap supports the quality is fine.
I have also bought bamboo canes very cheaply that can be used with cane grips to make wigwam shaped frames for plants.

Somebody posted a link a while back showing Monty Don making DIY supports. I can't find that link but demonstrates the same thing.

I have some of those hoop plant supports I bought for around £4 in Wilko. Not seen them in there this year but they are ideal for things like dahlias.
I also have some I got off amazon slightly more expensive and made by gardman but still works out cheaper and less hassle than making my own out of rebar.

Garden Trading have some nice ones, and the plant supports from Harrod Horticulture are really well made. I leave them up all year round, so want something to look at during the winter. They are useful structural interest, and weather well.

They are horrendously expensive aren’t they!
I’m planning to do canes with jute netting or just twine woven in a grid type situation. Flowers will grow through it.
