I'm thinking of putting one in a large bed next to the terrace where we have a table and chairs. Do you have one? Any tips or things to look out for?

We have two, one in a pond and a tall traditional layered one in the courtyard. The solar panels do have to be relocated to track the suns for maximum benefit, although they do have a battery reserve of a couple of hours.
In the winter we dismantle the fountain to protect it from frost. To keep the water in the fountain clear we use a couple of teaspoons of Hydrogen peroxide, but not in the pond.

Thank you for that. Where I'm thinking of putting it is south east facing and gets the sun most of the day.

Hello!

I bought a solar powered water fountain thing from Amazon for a tenner. I had a large saucer and put some nice decorative stones in I already had, filled with water and let the fountain do it's thing.

I was a lovely cheap way to get some moving water into a small garden! Feels very tranquil Smile

I've seen that and it's the kind of thing I'm thinking of. Thank you.

Hi @moooms, could you possibly link to the thing you got from amazon. I’m interested in doing the same but can’t quite believe they’ll work!! Thank you

Just look for solar powered water feature on Amazon - they're more than £10 but under £15.
