Evergreen perennial suggestions

I am slowly getting into gardening but I'd like to try and make the garden as easy as possible to care for and maintain.

I'm looking for evergreen perennial suggestions for borders. I've come to the conclusion that these are the type of plants I can work with in the garden but would like more suggestions. I have choisya and fatsia (I think) in the front garden and these seem to have flourished. I'm wanting to put other evergreen perennials in that will make a nice border and that I can prune and keep at a nice height. Any suggestions?

I also really like hosters. Can anyone suggest a similar low lying plant that will come back annually?

Many thanks in advance.

The darkest blue ceanothus I have ever come across us "Concha" - beautiful plant

Other suggestions/back up others recommended
Viburnums
Daphnes - smell is lovely do plant near where you will be able to smell - we gave Jacqueline Postill
Choisya - White Dazzler - dark green filigree type leaves
Camellias
Euonymus - we have just bought a White Spire and a dwarf one called Susan
I also like an evergreen winter jasmine to cover my fence panels

Mostly not evergreens, but perennials: daffodils, tulips, lavender, peonies, lupins, gladioli, roses, hostas, echinacea, crocosmia, marjoram, geranium, primrose, dianthus, sage, iris, hydrangea.

Make sure you consider the situation for each plant. Daphne generally will not enjoy being baked all summer, they prefer a shade spot. Similarly sarcocca (Christmas box). Ceanothus, otoh, is happiest in lots of sun.

No mention is lavender yet, or rosemary.

Aliums are a massive bee plant, they grow from bulbs, and just need tidying when the foliage finishes.

I am very taken with euonymus "Green Rocket", we saw it at Wisley, incredibly fresh and vibrant green on a dull day

Hebes come in all sorts of varieties, we have a real stunner that is dark purple all winter. Midnight Sky.
