Birdfeeder for balcony - recommendation

I live in a 3rd floor flat with a balcony and would like a bird feeder that I can see out of the window onto the balcony. But - I don't want a freestanding bird feeder table as I am worried about the magpies/pigeons. Also concerned that a hanging one will get blown about in the wind and might fall off the balcony. Can't have a window feeder as our windows have shock sensors for the burglar alarm.

Would anyone please recommend a balcony bird feeder that is suitable for the smaller birds i.e. bluetits, sparrows etc. Thank you!

Can you fasten a feeder to the railings of the balcony? It needs to be easily removable for washing, and you'd need to make sure it's not dripping discarded husks on to the balcony below.

I would love to but can't seem to find one that is suitable? I found one that attaches with some velcro but the bird feeder is a table type which I am worried will attract the magpies rather than the smaller birds.

You can get hooks designed for hooking over branches that you hang a cylindric bird feeder from. Try googling CJBirdfood for ideas.

If you got a squirrel proof feeder, the type with a cage around it, could you fasten that to the railings? Cable ties or even just string? Something like this:

I have a bird feeder on my balcony which it is attached by cable ties. I have the same feeders as pictured above and tbe pigeons only can manage the open feeders which you don't have to use.

i thought of attaching the feeder to the railing but will the birds be put off by having to fly down, sort of into the balcony?

Hard to describe what I mean but I hope you can understand.

Really appreciate all the suggestions, thank you.

Once birds learn there's a supply of food, they'll happily come down and feed! If it's empty, you'll probably see them fluttering about wondering where their food has gone!
