Wisteria Woe

Has autumn come early for my wisteria? Or is it dying?

It is a grafted plant in a large planter, about a foot tall when originally planted in April, on a south facing wall, regular watering and occasional feed with NPK.

A wisteria newbie and I'd be gutted if it has just given up the ghost!

Hmm. My Wisteria grows in a planter larger than 12 inches tall, about 20inches. It is about 12 Innes circumference across the top, but slightly square shaped.
However, the type I have is a slower growing variety. Yours has put on a lot of growth and should have a summer prune. Good advice can be found on the RHS website which might help you.

Mine (inherited, massive, in ground in north England) is still very green. Any chance the pot is waterlogged if you’ve been under the recent rain?

Thanks both. We had a few dry and windy days so I made sure I didn't water it as I saw on RHS about waterlogging. But actually I did, as I saw that as a good opportunity to feed it and it get right to the roots. Maybe I made it worse! Will try summer pruning... It did put out loads of shoots very quickly, I assumed due to the very warm weather earlier in the season.

As a point of reference (and also just because I am very proud of it!) other creepers are doing very well, this passiflora was from a cutting!
