What can I plant in my Scottish veg patch now?

Like many people I have embraced the time in lockdown to make a small veggie patch.

And now I am enjoying the potatoes, spinach and kale from garden to plate and have some other things still to grow. Squash, courgette, peas and beetroot.

Everytime I dig up a tattie plant I want to plant something in its place.

Anything I can plant now in a garden in Scotland?
I've read that more kale, perpetual spinach and lettuce might work.
Any other ideas from more experienced veg patch owners?

Leeks would survive the winter.

Can i do them from seed? Or will i need plants?

I get mine as small plants, but you could try seed as well. I did this with spring onions, an experiment due to lockdown
The planted ones were nowhere as good as the ones I eventually grew from seed.

Oh great. Thanks. I'll look at getting seeds and giving it a go.

I'm ayrshire and I have planted potatoes, leeks, red cabbages, turnips and cauliflower. I think there's more to plant but I'm new to gardening

You can also buy plug plants. I recommend the propagation place they delivered some great plug plants. I have planted seeds nearby to do succession planting and have more ready a few weeks after the initial batch

Yes, i hope to get more on the ball and think ahead with seeds planted in the greenhouse and ready to go as we harvest.

Thanks everyone
