Greenery recommendations for outdoor planters

Just moved house & I would love some of the plants that stay green in planters to add interest to my small garden. What should I look for?

Thank you

If you have the planters already, how big are they? What sort of situation would you like them in (sunny, shady, north facing)? High or low maintenance?

Would definitely put some spring bulbs in under the greenery. Standard variegated holly?

about 60cm length & 25cm width. I like the idea of still having some greenery in the autumn if that makes sense? sorry complete garden novice!

Variegated ivy and or vinca minor (periwinkle) are low growers. Then you might want some height, such as standard holly, or a bamboo?

If it's in a sunny position, you could have a rosemary, which would give year round colour, flowers and herbs!

the planters are quite tall if that makes a difference 70cm in height.

Didn't think about herbs!

really appreciate all the suggestions, thank you.

Hebes come in different varieties of size, flowers and shades of green and are evergreen.
Fatsia Japonica makes a big statement plant.

Evergreen herbs are pretty and useful. www.gardenersworld.com/plants/evergreen-herbs/

Creeping thyme would look nice trailing over the edge if the planter is tall.
