Christmas tree in garden

I put my small potted Christmas tree in the garden this year after Xmas and it's been quite happy there for some months. However this last month some of the pine needles have turned brown (about 1/3 of the tree) so I'd accepted it was a gonner and planned to dispose.

However I've noticed that the ends of some of these branches are now sprouting bright green vibrant new needles.

Does this mean it's saveable and if so does anyone know how I can care for it?

Thank you in anticipation Grin

"Evergreen" doesn't mean that the needles stay on for ever, it just means that the plant doesn't lose all its leaves at once. I suspect it may have had more than usual loss because of the very dry spring, but the fact you have green growth at the end of the branches means all is well.

I've re-used my Christmas tree the last Christmas and hope to do so this year. We had some needle loss but it soon came back again. Not much maintenance really, we do rotate it occasionally as find more needle loss on the shady side. Good Luck
