How do I deter a cat from my front Garden? - cat poo driving me clinically insane

I have tried so-called spray deterrents but they work for one day and then not at all. It seems this cat is really getting comfortable as we wake up to 3 poos a morning, it smells awful and I am going mad. Any advice much appreciated!

I hate that too. Do you have a lawn at the front? I find cats only poo on ours when it's long.

theres plants you can plant which they dont like apparently. dunno what theyre called.

I'll be watching this thread neighbours on one side have 4 cats and the other side have 2, my back garden is the local cat loo! I wrote the name of an anti cat plant awhile ago (can't remember where I got it from) Coleus canina. In the past I've used orange peel, moth balls, jeyes fluid nothing with a lasting effect. The best deterrent is my friends dog 1) it chases the cats away 2) it eats cat poo!

We have same problem I was out scooping poo when I was pregant with DD2 so that DD1 could play out yuck yuck yuck!!

A friend suggested buying a water pistol and it helps but only if you see them. Great stress reliver though!

Has anyone tried the devices that emit high pitched noises that scare off cats?

You can get this powder stuff(like pepper) that you sprinkle all over the grass,but if you have a big lawn forget it as it would cost you loads!! I got so annoyed with the cats poop on our garden that I got a dog(Thats the excuse I gave my DH anyway{grin])and it really does work!!

I will watch with interest, our neighbours have two young frisky cats always pooing on the lawn.

I always chuck water (doesnt generally hit them) but does make them run off that seems to work ok.
