I will start off by saying I am a complete dunce when it comes to plants so forgive a lot of silly questions.

My late mother was a rose enthusiast and spent her life growing, splicing and generally being at her happiest amongst her roses.

She planted one in a house that we stayed in for a while about 15 years ago and then bizarrely I was moved back here by the council when I had my son and the Rose was still there.

The past few years it has gone crazy, blooming huge yellow and cream flowers.
This rose means everything to me and be used of that I've been terrified of killing it so haven't touched it in all this time.

Last year we hired a decorator to revamp the house and he also happened to be a gardener, he pursued me to cut the Rose right back as it's diseased. Which I allowed and this year it's grown back bigger than ever.

There's also what looks like 2 completely new roses grown next to it, is this possible?
They've got similar leaves at least!

Anyway, we are hoping to move house soon and I want to take this Rose with me, either then whole thing or a viable bit of it or take a cutting a grow on to take but that's where I'm lost. If I leave it here it's likely to be destroyed. Can someone advise? I can post pictures if it helps.

Are the two new ones growing from the base? If so, then you need to cut them out, as they will be suckers from the rootstock. Most roses are grafted onto a rootstock of a strong growing coarse variety, so if you get anything growing from that, then it will overtake and swamp the good bit.

I don't know, I think there another plant growing there too. The leaves look different.

I think I'm going to try and get a gardener in to see if they'd advise me and do whatever needs doing.

Usually the roses used as rootstocks have more leaflets than the grafted rose. In your first picture, the very prickly thing coming up from under ground level I think is from the rootstock and needs removing. The thing to the right of your rose in the other two pictures has more leaflets than the original rose and is gain likely to be from the rootstock.

Be very careful about your choice of gardener - ask them for qualifications and be prepared to pay more. Many people offering gardening services basically provide a lawn mowing and hedge cutting service (which is want most people want) and may know no more about plants than you do.
