I can’t zoom in enough to see the shape of the leaves but is it this?

Difficult to see the scale and leaves but I think it’s too small for Johnson’s Blue. More of a Geranium Sanguineum growing type.
Often used in shallow boarders and rockeries.

I don't think it's Johnson's Blue, either - comparing it to mine in the garden, leaf shape, stem length and colour aren't right. There are so many geraniums, I'd browse a good nursery's website to look for a match.

Another vote for Geranium sanguineum

Yes I think geranium of some description! Looks like good groundcover would like some for next year! Thanks for your help!

Geraniums are fabulous plants. A great plantswoman, Margery Fish, famously said "if in doubt, plant a geranium" and (in my view) she wasn't wrong. Watch Friday's Gardeners' World if you want to learn more about them.

@FromIbizaToTheNorfolkMaud thanks for that! I'm up to my eyeballs in uni work so looking forward to GW on catch-up soon!

Definitely a geranium, I agree that's a sanguinium. There are many others, with different flowering times and colours; I've got quite a few varieties from tiny ones on the rockery, to some which climb.
