Fast growing climbers

Can anyone recommend a fast growing climber for a full sun spot?
I have just had a pergola made for my garden and would like some ideas for quick growing/climbing plants.
The area gets pretty much full sun all day (S/W facing).
I'm a total garden novice and I have been known to kill a cactus so I need something quite low maintenance.
Thanks!

We have jasmine in a pot growing up some trellis. I love it.

Trachelospurnum. Loves heat. Covers quickly. Smells nice.

I planted some small Lonicera henryi in a container against a wall last year, I would say they're a medium/fast grower and are evergreen which is a bonus. I've just bought a Clematis Montana to grow in a container against a different wall. My research suggests the container needs to be at least 45cm deep, and the bigger the better.

I've got some climbing snapdragon growing from seed, I believe these aren't invasive like Russian vine and should grow fairly quickly. They are only annuals though, so I'm not sure how likely they are to re-seed and grow again next year.

@Stefoscope Does your Lonicera Henryi smell nice? I love the scent of honeysuckle and an evergreen would be a bonus.

I've just bought Honeysuckle Henri for the colour and leaves. It's not on the ground yet , hopefully soon

I had a disagreement with IH about putting Montana in a tub ( old washing machine drum) he said it wouldn't work.

I worked in a garden centre that had amazing Montana in a big arch doing well and it's in the same size tub as mine , so told him to wind his neck in

Mina lobata. An annual. Still time to grow it if you're quick. Spikes of flowers which are red at the top and fade to yellow then cream as they mature. Also called "spanish flag".

Clematis Armandii grows fast, I personally prefer our trachleospernum is it flowers for longer and is evergreen or a jasmine but they are deciduous so only know is starting to look green again.

A bit out there but you could try hops. They grow like mad and you cut them down the ground in autumn.
No flowers but plenty greenery even in the first year.

Though I think the best thing is to buy a climber you love and while you are waiting grow some annual sweet peas or similar.

I've seen packets of annual morning glory too, they look great - but i am always slightly afraid they will revert to bindweed

Montana is mile-a-minute. Or Russian vine of course.

The advantage of pots is that you can plant some plants that you love and some fast growers, and just remove the fast growers once the others have got bigger. (Tbh you can do that in the ground too, except for russian vine.)

We grew wisteria over a pergola that we put up, it's beautiful and grows fast.
