Any recommendations for a strimmer. It's for the edge of a lawn against a wall. Are the cable (wire? String?) ones a real faff to use? I borrowed one once and getting the wire stuff threaded was a nightmare!!

I have a small black and decker battery operated one from amazon, I say small as I’ve also a massive bush cutter.

You can get cheaper ones than this but I’d recommend battery operated and a self feeder Ie when the string breaks it re feeds itself. You just replace the spool when done, it’s very easy.

Thanks. Is it easy to put the spool thing in?

Yes literally it just slots in, a three year old could do it 😀

How much edging do you need to do ?

I have a strimmer that came as a pack with the mower but can't stand the sound of them

I bought some garden scissors instead which suits me better but depends how much you need to do

Sorry they're called Hand Shears... you'd be there forever with scissors
