What's wrong with this? Japanese Camellia

Hello!
We live in rented accommodation and have a lovely garden. When we moved in this tree/bush already looked like this. Just wondering what could be wrong with it and if it can be saved?
Everyday at least 5 dead, wilted brown flowers fall off.
Thanks!

Not sure what you mean, the flowers are dropping off because it flowers have finished. My camellia finished flowering ages ago.

When did you move in? My camellias have been dropping dead flowers for 6 weeks which is normal. They are at their best in February/March.

Ah ok so nothing wrong with it?!
I know nothing about plants/flowers, sorry..

No, it's just the end of the season. You can deadhead the flowers now, if you are sick of picking them up/looking at them. The RHS site has lots of info about caring for them, if you decide you want to prune it.

Thanks, that's great :)

The flowers aren't a problem, but I don't think that foliage in the first picture looks great. I'd say cut off any dead branches and see how the rest goes, but if you're not experienced with plants, I'd wait until the all the leaves on a branch are well and truly dead.
