Aubergine q

I have two grafted Scorpio aubergines in pots. They're inside at the moment, and am planning to move them out into the garden (still in pots). But I don't know when is best. My mum says around now, but I think it should be a gradual move, or no move until the end of May. Like my tomatoes. They're doing well, producing new growth etc...
I'm a reasonably proficient gardener but haven't grown these before. Any advice much appreciated.

There’s some cold weather coming next week, don’t put them out, they will die.
Aubergine grow in hot climates and don’t tend to do well in Britain, unless we have a very hot summer.
I grow mine in the green house. Occasionally if we are having a hot summer I will put one out, but they tend to be small fruit.

Aubergines are more tender than tomatoes, so you're right to wait.

Thank you both. I'll keep them in for a few more weeks and then hope we get some small fruits at least in the summer!
