North facing porch, plant recommendations please!

I have a north facing porch in an L shaped house (porch in the angle of the L if that makes sense). It is in full shade all day, but sheltered from any wind. Is there anything that I could grow in a container here? Bonus points for low maintenance evergreen types!

I also would like to know the answer!

We have a hydrangea petoralis (not sure of the spelling) growing from a pot onto the porch walls. Planted 9 years ago, it’s finally taken hold. I’ve been very bad at watering it

Sarcococca?

Maybe swap pot around for a fuschia in the summer (mine is in full shade under a tree and still gets loads of flowers).

We have pyracantha which thrives on North face of our house. Also, if you don’t want thorns, then try Cotoneaster.

Begonias! Lovely and incredibly shade tolerant

I have a lovely Viburnum Tinus in a pot in shade on my deck. They’re very forgiving & flower over winter.

This is my Osteospermum that’s growing in a planter against a North facing wall. It’s full of flowers. I must admit I’m surprised that it’s lasted through the winter.
Might be worth a try.

I love that Beebumble! Plenty of ideas, so will nip to garden centre tomorrow and see what I can find

Well go that Osteospermum! I've got a couple but thought they were full sun jobbies! Have to buy more!

Oh and camellia/rhododendrons as pots are of course perfect for ericaceous plants. Plus they are fabulous. I've had hellebores in pots too, and they have done well.

And then there's bulbs for a bit of succession planting.. my lily of the valleys are out at the moment. Begonias as I mentioned because at the start of winter you can pack them away and use the pot.

Seconding Viburnum ive got one in a pot (ladybird) and it was my winter star. Nice scent too.

Sarcococca Hookeriana Is another winter flowering one but takes a while to get big enough.
