Plant identification please?

Anybody know what this is? It is sticking out from our neighbour's side under the fence.

Is it a weed? I didn't want to remove it in case it was one of those wear-hazmat suit-wrap up-burn it-and burn the clothes you are wearing type plant.

Any ideas?

Does it have tendrils? If so it could be bindweed but I can't tell from the picture

It looks like Arum maculatum - cuckoo pint/lords and ladies. Generally thought of as a weed, and mildly poisonous if that's important to you.

Yes it is that! Thank you. Lords and ladies. On Google looks like they sell it as a plant. It is growing very randomly in the corner poking out of the bottom of the fence. I will remove it. With gloves. Thank you again.

I like pretty plants but have a toddler that will eat anything mildly colourful and pretty like berries. Heck she will try chewing on anything. Even the blooming gravel stones

It's certainly something in the Arum family, but it might be one of the plants grown as garden plants rather than the native Arum maculatum, lords and ladies. But advice remains the same.

Where it's coming through used to be a hedge which our neighbour had cut down. Its growth could have been stunted and now it's coming through unhindered. It's going in the next couple of hrs after I finish work.

Thank you all for the advice.

Certainly an Arum, probably maculatum, but could also be italicum. I love them personally, the Arum/Aroid group of plants are fascinating, if an aquired taste - many of them produce a foul smell, when in flower, to attract the flies which pollinate them. They also produce heat to emulate rotting flesh! Dead Horse Arum ( Helicodiceros musciveros) and the giant Corpse Flower (Amorphophallus titanum) are two of the most bizarre. I have the former in my collection, but unfortunately, outside its natural habitat, the latter is really only capable of being grown by botanical gardens with huge tropical houses. There is an International Aroid Society for lovers of these strange plants.
