What are these plants?!

Hi all
I've bought a couple of bedding plants in impulse but I've no idea what they are or how to look after them... could anyone help me identify them please!
I'm planning on putting them in a pot rather than directly in the ground.

Hard to see the flower in the first one, but judging by the colour it could be a type of Campanula. They come in a wide variety with different shaped leaves and flowers.
The second one looks like a type of rockery or alpine plant. Sorry I don’t know.someone will be along who does.

The second one looks like a cistus

Beebumble2 · 17/04/2020 16:58

Yes the flowers do look like Cistus, but my cistus have always had thin leaves. Could be an unusal variety.

billybagpuss · 17/04/2020 17:03

Is the second one a potentilla?

VenusClapTrap · 17/04/2020 17:53

Second one is Bacopa

ReiltinDubh · 17/04/2020 22:45

Thanks everyone! The second one does seem to be Bacopa alright
Ive tried to take a closer pic of the flower on the first one, it looks like there it's little yellow bits on the inside of it which didn't seem to match up with Google pics I saw of Campanula.

That's Lobelia, it might be a trailing form, by the look of it.

averylongtimeasLangCleg · 17/04/2020 22:54

The first one is lobielia (probably trailing)the second is bacopa.
They will look nice in a pot.
Watch out as they are not frost hardy, so keep them under cover if it's cold.
