Rodents - holes in garden. Help!

I decided to prepare my garden for a small vegetable plot and I have discovered small holes in the garden along the walls 3 -5 cm diameter, so think I have rodents. OH had noticed them when cutting the grass but has ignored it, so he has left it to me to sort it. I am terrified of rodents and I am so upset with OH leaving me to deal with it....I know I sound dramatic, but I can't think rationally at the moment as I am panicking. I would appreciate any suggestions on products to use. I can't afford a pest control company and I was trying to save money growing veg. Have you any experience of this? I know its trival given our current climate but I dont want to share my garden whilst stuck at home.

My neighbour had rats and he had pest control out many times they advised him to block any holes up, move things around in the garden (they take certain paths so don't like change and will go somewhere else) and use some poison (not sure of type he used).

Quite possibly bank voles. They'll be more scared of you than you are of them, so they're unlikely to come out when you're around, and if you're tending the vegetable plot regularly they may well move on anyway.

We put a trail camera in our garden and found we have not just one but two foxes visiting every night. If we can miss those, you won't be troubled by voles or mice.
