What very easy flowers can I grow with my son?

What seeds can I easily attempt to grow in the garden with my son this year? I've bought a packet of dwarf sunflowers seeds, but wondered what else I should order to try to grow?

Ideally anything that will add a bit of colour to the patio, as I'm not expecting to visit a garden centre any time soon.

Not started my zinnias yet, they're very pernickety about cold!! They'll go in in a fortnight or so, you have time
